In the past few months, citizens from the first-ever Citizen Climate Assembly in Skopje, alongside ZIP Institute representatives, concluded the 10 visits to Skopje’s municipalities and personally delivered their recommendations on tackling the city’s air pollution crisis and enhancing the quality of life for everyone.
During these visits, citizens engaged directly with local authorities, calling for swift action on key solutions, such as improving public transport, investments in green energy, and expanding urban green spaces in every municipality. ZIP Institute played a key role in guiding these discussions, highlighting the urgent need for strong local government commitment.
Next up? A groundbreaking official meeting where all the mayors from these 10 municipalities will come together to ensure that citizens’ voices turn into real, impactful changes. Together, we’re building a healthier, greener future for Skopje!
