The MEF Energy Forum is delighted to announce a significant initiative aimed at advancing the empowerment of women in the energy sector.
The MEF 2024 Women in Energy Scholarship, generously supported by YEO, represents a pivotal stride towards cultivating the future female leaders of the energy industry. Emphasizing diversity and inclusivity as catalysts for innovation and sustainable energy solutions, we are proud to offer a 1,000 euro scholarship to an outstanding female student enrolled in technical sciences at a state university in North Macedonia.
Qualified female students must meet the following criteria:
✔ Must be a female citizen of North Macedonia.
✔ Must be enrolled in regular studies at a public university in North Macedonia.
✔ Their field of study must be in the technical sciences, such as engineering, environmental science, or renewable energy.
✔ They must be in their second year of study or higher, including those pursuing a master’s or doctoral degree.
Selection criteria focus on academic excellence, proven commitment to the energy sector, leadership potential, and strong, relevant references.
We are looking for outstanding individuals, not only in academia, but also as future, promising leaders in the energy sector with extracurricular activities, volunteer work and professional experiences.

Each application must contain:
▪ A personal statement of 500 – 700 words explaining their reasons for choosing technical sciences, their aspirations for a career in the energy sector, and how this scholarship will help them achieve their goals
▪ Official academic transcripts
▪ Contact details of a professor or academic advisor
▪ Official proof of enrollment from their university
Candidates will not be ranked if the attached documentation is incomplete.
