ZIP Institute was honoured to be invited to the Third Meeting of the Community of Practice on Deliberative Democracy in South-East Europe, organised by NALAS: Network of Associations of Local Authorities of South-East Europe,to present the findings and lessons from North Macedonia’s first-ever Citizen Climate Assembly — a landmark initiative led by our team in 2023.
Our contribution helped shape the discussion on the vital role of civil society in implementing citizen assemblies. Together with regional experts, including Nemanja Anđelković from the University of Belgrade’s Institute for Philosophy and Social Theory, we explored practical ways to strengthen democratic participation across South-East Europe.
