The ZIP Team, accompanied by three citizens – participants of the Skopje Climate Assembly, handed over the Climate Assembly Report on air pollution to Mr. Izet Mexhiti, the newly appointed First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Environment and Physical Planning of North Macedonia. We are pleased that the recommendations will be seriously considered and believe they form a solid foundation for joint initiatives to be undertaken by the Ministry, civil society, and society at large in combating the deadly rates of air pollution in Skopje.
In the coming weeks, we will also present the report to other members of the new government cabinet and the mayors of various municipalities within the city of Skopje. Stay tuned to follow the journey of the Skopje Climate Assembly caravan and see our next stops.
