Project Description:
The MotherCircle Community Movement are a series of structured “living-room” conversations aimed at kick-starting regular meetings between mothers to discuss the challenges they faced within their communities with a focus on the threat of radicalization in their communities. The MotherCircles aims to continue to engage those mothers who have already been engaged through the MotherSchools program as well as new mothers to join the movement. The objective is to empower mothers at the local level and build community cohesion, to break down the silence around the topic of radicalization and create a safe space in which mothers can come together and discuss their concerns and strategies for prevention without the fear of stigmatization or marginalization.
